Next door at 251 Summit owner, Horace P. Rugg, a wholesale dealer of pumps and plumbing supplies, built this Romanesque Revival home in 1887, Hodgson and Stem, architects.  It is characterized by a base of heavy ashlar sandstone blocks, by the round arches of the porch and by decoratively carved embellishments such as the floral patterns and classic nude figures on the front.  The sandstone/brownstone was quarried near Washburn, Wisconsin.
